L-10 edizzjoni tal-Festival ICA tal-MCAST tiċċelebra l-kisbiet kreattivi ta’ studenti b’talent minn tnax-il kors tal-Baċellerat fl-Arti (Unuri) fl-Istitut tal-Arti Kreattiva tal-MCAST fil-Mosta. L-oqsma koperti jinkludu l-Konservazzjoni, il-Produzzjoni tal-Media Kreattiva, il-Moda, l-Arti, l-Arti tal-Logħob, id-Disinn Grafiku, il-Media Diġitali Interattiva, il-Ġurnaliżmu, l-Arti Performattiva, il-Fotografija, u d-Disinn tal-Prodott u d-Disinn Spazjali.

Il-festival joffri pjattaforma siewja għal dawn l-istudenti biex jesebixxu x-xogħol iebes tagħhom u t-talenti individwali tagħhom, partikolarment dawk direttament marbuta mal-proġetti tad-dissertazzjoni rispettivi tagħhom. Huwa jipprovdi esponiment fost il-partijiet ikkonċernati fl-industriji kreattivi kif ukoll il-komunitajiet lokali u internazzjonali tal-arti u d-disinn. Huwa wkoll opportunità għall-kandidati prospettivi biex jiddeterminaw l-oqsma ta’ studju li jixtiequ jsegwu, u għall-impjegaturi biex jidentifikaw rekluti potenzjali skont is-settur.

Media production is about more than cameras, software, and technical skill. It is about communication. It is the art of transforming ideas, emotions, questions, and experiences into forms that can be shared with others. The films presented in this screening are the final major works of this year's graduating Creative Media Production students. Developed through months of independent research, experimentation, and production, each project reflects the interests, passions, and creative voices of its maker. While the subjects and styles vary, all share a common goal: to communicate something meaningful through moving image. These works represent the culmination of years of learning, practice, and creative development, offering audiences an opportunity to experience the diverse perspectives of a new generation of media practitioners.

The MCAST ICA final-year Performing Arts students present eight original performances that have been directed and produced by the students themselves. Using a diverse range of mediums and themes, the performances reflect the individuality, creativity and artistic development of each student, giving every performance its own style and identity.

Across these projects, personal experiences are translated into physical actions, while memories, emotions, and perceptions take shape through encounters between performers, audiences, objects, light, sound, and costume. Narrative often remains fragmented, leaving room for atmosphere and sensation to guide the experience.

Process is central to the work. Rehearsal, writing, experimentation, and improvisation remain visible rather than disappearing behind a finished outcome. Ideas are tested, repeated, disrupted, and reworked through performance itself. Instead of seeking resolution, many of the projects remain open to uncertainty and change. Meaning emerges gradually through presence, attention, and exchange, revealing performance as a practice shaped by vulnerability, instinct, and human connection.

Some performances include partial nudity and flashing lights while certain pieces explore sensitive themes such as grief and body image.
