Bla Kundizzjoni tells the story of William, a man with autism and an intellectual disability, and his 11-year-old son, Alex. Through their shared love of football and playful moments, the pressures of school, coaches, and authority figures begin to surface. What starts as an ordinary life marked by small struggles gradually escalates into a custody battle. A father’s unconditional love is set against the rigid demands of the system. In a final confrontation, one question lingers: what truly makes a family?

Ġewwa Barra is a physically driven, abstract theatrical piece set in an undefined, enclosed space where two newly formed beings awaken to sensation, language, and self-awareness. As they explore their environment, they mirror one another, gradually encountering differences and beginning to form a sense of identity within the limits of their world. Their reality is shaped by two opposing forces: a warm, elusive voice and a cold, mechanical presence. As tension grows between curiosity and fear, one is faced with a choice that may unsettle the boundaries of their world.

Li Kieku Kellhom Jitkellmu invites the audience into a physical and poetic journey where bodies and memories breathe as one. Fragments of the past unfold and reshape themselves across time through labour, conflict, and survival, revealing traces left behind by those who built, inhabited and when needed even defended these spaces. Throughout all this, there is a presence marked by time, observing as the world continues to change around it, echoing what has been and what remains.

The day of the quċċija has arrived. Matthew and Jennifer, like any other parents, are eager to discover what the future holds for their son, Benji. Jennifer regards the quċċija as a sacred ritual, while Matthew sees it as nothing more than tradition.
What begins as a joyful family celebration quickly spirals into chaos when Benji makes a choice. Panic erupts. Jennifer freaks out. Matthew starts running around the house, attempting to make sense of what is happening, until… Nanna Grace knocks on the door. With her unsettling presence, she raises one pressing question: will she manage to sort things out, or make matters even worse?
Steered by the actions of each family member, this humorous piece transforms a cherished tradition into a political satire.

Tnax-il Siegħa (translated as “Twelve Hours”), is a short, intense and emotional play in Maltese that delves deep into human connection, the tension between duty and desire, the silence that speaks volumes, and the relativity of time.

Jack ta’ Darba is a short play by Leanne Ellul that brings together the tragic and the comic. It is a play full of contrasts that explores fragmentation through the relationship between Gemma, an elderly woman with dementia, and Jessie, a young nurse who cares for her. Both characters take on more than one role, making their relationship dynamic and complex. This relationship also reflects the characters’ past, through whom we gradually learn more about the two protagonists. Gemma moves back and forth between the present and the past both of which constantly blur through memories linked to her love, the departure of her partner Andrew, the upbringing of Anna, and her drinking habits—moments that repeatedly resurface and shape her identity. Jessie is full of life, enriching Gemma’s world, yet at one crucial moment their lives are also put in danger. At the beginning and end of the play, Gemma’s obsession with fire takes on different meanings: first as a symbol of comfort, and ultimately as a desire to return to the past as well as to end her suffering.

This Breaking lingers in the quiet spaces between words, where love begins to distort and control takes root unnoticed. Through Mara and Luca, the play traces the fragile line between tenderness and tension, revealing how easily care can shift into something more suffocating.
In an ordinary room, under soft light, small gestures carry weight, silences grow louder, and memory itself becomes uncertain. What is said, what is denied, and what is felt begin to fracture.
Spare and intimate, This Breaking is a study of erosion — of trust, of self, of truth — and of the moment something inside us begins, quietly, to break.

Que Sera, Sera follows Alex, a Maltese journalist who dies suddenly in a road accident and finds herself caught between worlds. Warned by her late mother not to follow the beckoning light, Alex ignores the advice and steps into a startling truth: the afterlife is not salvation, but a lunar harvesting station where souls are recycled back into human life to feed an ancient, indifferent force. Faced with a cosmic system built on beautiful lies, Alex discovers an anomaly in the records, one that offers her something she never had in life: a way out. A philosophical short play about fear, purpose, and the courage it takes to finally choose freedom over comfort.
